“It was regrettable. That was essentially an interaction with our fans seated near me,” Jones explained during a radio appearance. “There was a large group of Dallas supporters—not Jets fans, Cowboys fans. The entire stadium was brimming with enthusiasm for the Cowboys.”
Jones additionally emphasized that the signal was entirely accidental, occurring amid the excitement following the team’s final touchdown. “I just put up the wrong finger,” he remarked. “It was inadvertently done.
